“Not everything is for children, and that’s okay”


A man does not want children at her birthday dinner, but her sister refuses to accept her request.

He asked Reddit‘s”Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum to weigh in. For his 30th birthday, he wanted to organize a dinner in a Restaurant with his friends and family, without children. Everyone agreed to the terms except his sister. The problem is that his children are the most misbehaved of the whole group.

“So I’m 30 this week and I’ve been planning my birthday for a while,” he said. Explain. “I invite my family and my friends and I have reserved a table in an Asian cuisine restaurant. I’d like to keep it adults only, just so we don’t have to watch our tongues. And my friends and family’s kids are all under 8 so spicy/asian food will not fit and they will be bored.

“Everything went well, and since the reservation was for lunch on a weekend, my friends had no problem leaving the children with their partners. However, my sister demanded to know why I didn’t want her children on my birthday and refused to accept that it was my birthday and the food was not suitable for children.

His sister’s children tend to be disruptive in restaurants. But instead of disciplining the kids, she argues with the waiters and has even been kicked out of establishments because of it.

“I got mad and told her I would have considered having her kids if she had actually raised them instead of being over her. call,” he wrote. “Her youngest has no manners and throws tantrums whenever the kid doesn’t like/get something. By temper tantrums I mean screaming and crying for hours and even throwing food or running at other guests or staff in public while she continues to be on top of her call.”

“My sister and some of my family called me a d***, and she said she wouldn’t come to my birthday or talk to me until I realized what I said of badness. My friends think she is overreacting and are on my side as many of them have younger children and they are much better behaved.
